Indirect Purchasing Buyer

About the role

We are seeking an Indirect Purchasing Buyer to join our automotive purchasing team. You will manage sourcing, negotiation and purchasing of indirect goods and services, ensuring cost efficiency, quality, delivery and supply continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and lead sourcing processes in line with IMP procedures.
• Coordinate tender strategies, timelines and stakeholder contributions.
• Define sourcing strategies, build business scenarios and prepare negotiation plans.
• Present sourcing recommendations to management.
• Lead supplier negotiations and draft contracts in French or English.
• Monitor contract execution, supplier performance, quality and productivity.
• Prepare purchase orders and manage a savings portfolio.
• Develop strong relationships with suppliers and propose process improvements.

Required profile

• Degree in business, commercial studies, manufacturing or engineering (preferred).
• 3 to 10 years of purchasing experience, preferably in automotive or manufacturing.
• Experience with indirect purchasing, sourcing, tender management and contract negotiation.
• CIPS qualification or similar procurement certification is an advantage.
• Professional fluency in English and French.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Digital sourcing tools and collaborative platforms such as Teams and SharePoint.
• Knowledge of SAP (advantage).
