Ingénieur Aquaculture – Projet Pilote RAS

About the role

The company is launching a pilot recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) for tilapia in the Biougra‑Agadir region of Morocco. We are looking for an experienced Aquaculture Engineer to lead the set‑up, daily operation and first production cycle of this innovative project.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, install and manage the RAS infrastructure, including pumps, aeration, mechanical and biological filtration.
• Define stocking, feeding and growth‑monitoring protocols for tilapia.
• Monitor and control water quality parameters such as dissolved oxygen, temperature, pH, ammonia, nitrites and nitrates.
• Oversee water circulation, aeration, filtration and biosafety procedures.
• Develop standard operating procedures and emergency response protocols.
• Train and supervise the local operational team.
• Track production performance, prepare weekly reports and analyse costs.
• Assess technical and commercial feasibility for potential scale‑up.

Required profile

• Degree in aquaculture, fisheries, marine biology, agricultural engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience with RAS and tilapia production.
• Hands‑on knowledge of pumps, aeration systems and filtration technologies.
• Ability to lead a pilot project from installation to first harvest.
• Strong problem‑solving, planning and team‑management skills.
• Fluent in French and/or English; Arabic is a plus.
• Willingness to work on‑site in the Biougra/Agadir area.
