Junior Venture Capital Investor

About the role

P1 Ventures is seeking a motivated Junior Venture Capital Investor to join its growing team in Casablanca. You will work in a fast‑paced, hybrid environment, supporting the firm’s mission to back Africa’s next generation of technology founders.

Key responsibilities

• Source early‑stage startups across Africa and diaspora markets, building relationships with founders, angels, and accelerators.
• Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and develop robust financial models to support investment theses.
• Assist in deal structuring, perform deep‑dive due diligence, and present investment recommendations.
• Collaborate with portfolio companies on strategic initiatives, including follow‑on capital raises.
• Track operational and financial metrics, creating data‑driven reports and presentations for investors.

Required profile

• Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership and initiative.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and comfort working across time zones and traveling frequently.
• Ability to navigate nuance, challenge ideas constructively, and thrive in an autonomous setting.
