Legal Director

About the role

The Legal Director will provide strategic legal counsel to support daily business operations and long‑term initiatives. Reporting to senior management, this role ensures that all activities comply with Moroccan law and internal policies while mitigating legal risks.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on day‑to‑day business matters and strategic projects.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts and other legal documents.
• Ensure compliance with Moroccan commercial, labor, and corporate legislation.
• Identify legal risks and design practical mitigation strategies.
• Manage relationships with external law firms, government agencies, and regulatory bodies.
• Support corporate governance, internal compliance programs, and board matters.
• Handle legal disputes, claims, and other matters as needed.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to facilitate business growth and expansion.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of legal experience, preferably in‑house or corporate.
• Strong knowledge of Moroccan commercial, labor, and corporate laws.
• Proven experience in contract drafting, negotiation, and risk management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Fluent in French and English; Arabic is a plus.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, international environment.
