Manager II – Global Trade Services

About the role

TE is seeking a senior professional to lead its Global Trade Services function across North Africa. The role will act as the primary liaison with customs authorities, government agencies, brokers and industry groups in Morocco and Tunisia, ensuring the company’s import and export activities remain compliant and risk‑free.

Key responsibilities

• Represent TE with customs authorities, government agencies, brokers and industry associations in Morocco and Tunisia.
• Define and govern the customs and trade compliance program for the North Africa region.
• Partner with business leaders to provide trade‑compliance guidance that supports growth, market expansion and supply‑chain optimisation.
• Oversee customs operations, including broker management, bonded manufacturing, FTZ activities, valuation, post‑entry reviews and corrective actions.
• Drive data‑driven compliance through trade analytics, KPI development and risk monitoring.
• Lead enhancements to customs processes and systems to improve automation, efficiency and cost savings.
• Monitor regulatory changes and implement compliance strategies in collaboration with GTS Governance.
• Select and manage performance of customs brokers, service providers and trade‑compliance solutions.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (preferred fields: International Relations, Supply Chain, Law or related).
• 8+ years of international trade experience with deep expertise in customs compliance, import program management, bonded manufacturing and FTZ operations.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing trade‑compliance or customs teams.
• Proven experience engaging with customs authorities and government agencies in North Africa.
• Strong knowledge of customs, import and trade‑compliance regulations in Morocco, Tunisia and the broader region.
• Demonstrated success designing and implementing trade‑compliance programs, policies and risk‑management practices.
