Manufacturing Quality Engineer

About the role

TE Connectivity is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to support quality assurance activities within its automotive manufacturing sites. The role focuses on real‑time defect prevention, problem resolution and ensuring compliance with the IATF 16949 quality management system.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare 8D reports, conduct root‑cause analyses and define corrective actions, verifying their effectiveness.
• Act as the primary contact for customers, handling complaints, presenting findings and coordinating corrective measures.
• Maintain and develop the Quality Management System in line with IATF 16949 and VDA standards, including internal and external audits.
• Monitor internal and external PPM, CoPQ metrics, drive continuous improvement and support PPM reduction initiatives.
• Lead new product validation, PPAP submissions and preparation of quality documentation such as CP, QIP and failure catalogues.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (mechanical, industrial or related).
• Experience in the automotive industry and in quality assurance functions.
• Ability to stop shipment or production when a quality issue is identified.

Required skills

• IATF 16949 quality management system.

• Corrective action definition and verification.
• PPAP and P‑FMEA documentation.
• Quality documentation preparation (CP, QIP, failure catalogue).
