Network System Engineer (Fortinet & Palo Alto)

About the role

Aerospacelab, an aerospace company founded in 2018 that has deployed 8 satellites in orbit, is looking for a skilled Network System Administrator with a strong background in Fortinet and Palo Alto products. The role sits in the IT & Security department and requires a minimum of 4 years of professional network administration experience and fluency in both English and French.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage network infrastructure using Fortinet and Palo Alto products
• Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS and other security appliances
• Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability
• Develop and enforce network policies, run regular security assessments and vulnerability testing, and respond to security incidents
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting, and carry out regular maintenance, updates and upgrades
• Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, changes and upgrades
• Work with IT colleagues, external vendors and service providers, and train end-users and junior staff

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
• Minimum of 4 years of hands-on network administration experience
• Proven experience with Fortinet and Palo Alto products
• Fluency in English and French, with good communication skills and ability to write documentation such as network diagrams and configuration guides
• Ability to manage multiple projects, coordinate with cross-functional teams and vendors, and provide prompt support to users
