Planning Manager – PV Projects

About the role

The Planning Manager will lead the planning and scheduling activities for large photovoltaic (PV) projects, ensuring alignment with EPC contracts and project milestones. You will work closely with EPC contractors, business development teams, and off‑takers to deliver accurate schedules and risk‑free progress reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and implement PPA and EPC contract requirements related to planning and reporting.
• Develop Level 3 schedules and project control procedures together with the EPC contractor.
• Maintain WBS, progress curves, and weekly/monthly updates, monitoring critical‑path activities and KPIs.
• Prepare detailed Level 4 schedules and registers for weekly progress tracking.
• Review EPC contractor’s monthly progress reports, flagging contractual risks.
• Produce monthly progress reports and presentations for off‑takers and internal stakeholders.
• Support the Business Development team in verifying EPC contract appendices and schedule definitions.
• Handle Extension of Time (EOT) claims by preparing and analysing required documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of planning/scheduling experience on large projects, with at least 5 years in PV projects and one fully completed PV project.
• If PV experience is limited, at least 10 years in conventional, oil & gas, or other renewable technologies.
• Proven experience on the EPC side; developer/owner experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical, methodical, and organized work style.
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills.

Required skills

• Primavera P6 (or equivalent planning & scheduling software).
• Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
