Political Tour Guide – Marrakesh

About the role

Planetwonk is looking for knowledgeable political tour guides to lead social and political tours in Marrakesh. As a freelance guide, you will walk small groups through themed itineraries that explore both famous landmarks and hidden sites, helping visitors gain a deep understanding of Morocco’s political landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Lead conversation‑driven tours focused on political, economic, historical and cultural topics.
• Adapt tour content to the interests and knowledge level of each group.
• Answer questions in English and, when possible, in French or German.
• Coordinate with Planetwonk’s scheduling platform to manage tour bookings.
• Collect gratuities and report tour attendance.

Required profile

• Higher education degree or current enrollment in Political Science, International Relations, Economics, History, Anthropology, Sociology or a related field.
• Strong interest in politics and ability to discuss complex subjects clearly.
• Fluency in English; additional proficiency in French or German is a plus.

• Excellent verbal communication and storytelling abilities.
• Ability to engage diverse audiences in extended conversations.
