About the role
The AgroBioSciences (AgBS) program at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University seeks a post‑doctoral fellow to develop and apply models that estimate and predict yields of key crops across Africa. The role combines data collection, advanced modelling, and spatial analysis to support agricultural research and development.
Key responsibilities
- Collect and curate production data for targeted African crops and contribute to review publications.
- Develop and implement simulation models for yield prediction using secondary data and on‑farm trial results.
- Perform spatial analyses to generate yield forecasts at various geographic scales.
- Support the broader research project objectives and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team.
- Supervise master’s and doctoral students involved in related research activities.
- Publish findings in high‑impact scientific journals.
Required profile
- Ph.D. in agronomy, modelling, biostatistics or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated knowledge of geospatial analysis, machine learning and predictive modelling.
- Proven record of scientific publications in the field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- High motivation for scientific research.
