Postdoctoral Research Fellow – Biopesticide Formulation

About the role

Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, through its AgroBioSciences Program within the College of Sustainable Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to join its research group on a project about biopesticide formulation as sustainable tools for controlling insect pests of some major crops. The position is based in Morocco.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop versatile biopesticide formulations using natural products and bioresources such as entomopathogenic microorganisms, essential oils and plant extracts.
• Characterize the physicochemical properties of the formulations and assess their impact on pathogenicity, compatibility and stability of the active ingredients.
• Design and run laboratory, greenhouse and field experiments to evaluate the activity of the biopesticides.
• Assist with rearing and maintenance of insects and plants.
• Supervise graduate and postgraduate research projects.
• Co-author and lead-authorship of project reports, patents, presentations and published papers.

Required profile

• PhD in crop protection completed within the last five years.
• Experience in formulation technology and chemical characterization techniques, and a strong publication record, are considered advantages.
