Postdoctoral Researcher in Agronomy (Fertilizer Forms and GHG Measurements)

About the role

The AgroBioSciences (AgBS) program of the Science & Technology pole at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) in Marrakech is looking for a postdoctoral researcher in agronomy, focused on fertilizer forms and greenhouse gas measurements. The work involves controlled and field experiments, and the candidate will also mentor master and PhD students.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the project on the roles of newly developed fertilizer forms in altering soil pH and the native microbiome and in mimicking greenhouse-emitted gases.
• Implement controlled and field experiments to measure greenhouse gases and assess trade-offs for nutrient efficiency.
• Mentor master students and PhD students.

Required profile

• Earned doctorate in Agronomy with hands-on experience measuring greenhouse gases.
• Demonstrated experience of multidisciplinary research in the stated research areas.
• High-quality publications in relevant scientific journals.
• Experience supervising undergraduate or graduate students.
• Strong written and spoken English and French.
