About the role

The AgroBioSciences (AgBS) program at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University is seeking a dynamic postdoctoral researcher to advance its agronomy and soil microbiology research agenda. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team focused on solving African agriculture challenges through cutting‑edge science.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute experiments on soil microbiomes, agronomic practices, and sustainable farming systems.
• Integrate omics approaches (metagenomics, transcriptomics) to characterize microbial communities.
• Collaborate with plant physiologists, crop improvement specialists, and soil scientists to develop innovative solutions.
• Publish findings in high‑impact journals and present results at international conferences.
• Mentor graduate students and contribute to grant writing activities.

Required profile

• PhD in Agronomy, Soil Science, Microbiology, Plant Sciences or a closely related field.
• Strong record of scientific publications and experience with field or laboratory research.
• Ability to work independently and within a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment.
