Postdoctoral Researcher in Animal Nutrition & Pastoralism

About the role

The African Sustainable Agriculture Research Institute (ASARI) at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University seeks a motivated postdoctoral researcher to advance animal nutrition and pastoralism research. The focus will be on small ruminants, especially goats, and large livestock such as camels, addressing key challenges in feed scarcity, stress, and environmental impact.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage applied and fundamental research projects on animal nutrition, forage valorisation, feed formulation and rangeland management.
• Prepare competitive research proposals and secure funding.
• Produce technical reports, peer‑reviewed publications and present findings to scientific and farming communities.
• Conduct field surveys, collect and analyse data, and work directly with local farmers to ensure practical impact.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams within ASARI and contribute to ongoing projects at UM6P Laayoune.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Zootechny, Animal Production, Animal Nutrition or Pastoralism.
• Demonstrated field‑based livestock research experience.
