Postdoctoral Researcher in Contemporary Philosophy of Science

About the role

The ACPPS‑UM6P Research Center invites applications for a one‑year renewable postdoctoral position (October 2025 – October 2026) focused on contemporary philosophy of science. The role combines independent research with teaching assistance within a vibrant interdisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and conduct original research in one or more of the following areas: philosophy/epistemology of contemporary physics, mathematics, logic, artificial intelligence, or ethics.
• Collaborate with co‑supervisors Prof. Ali Benmakhlouf and Prof. Abdelouahab Rgoud to refine research questions and methodology.
• Participate as a teaching assistant, delivering lectures or seminars and supporting undergraduate instruction.
• Present findings at internal seminars, conferences, and contribute to publications.

Required profile

• PhD in philosophy of science, epistemology, or a closely related discipline.
• Strong academic record with evidence of scholarly writing and research productivity.
• Ability to propose a coherent research project aligned with the centre’s themes.
• Excellent communication skills in English (French or Arabic is a plus).
