Postdoctoral Researcher – Phosphate Fertilizer Development

About the role

The MAScIR foundation program at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University seeks a motivated postdoctoral researcher to advance the design and production of innovative phosphate‑based fertilizer formulas. The successful candidate will work on both laboratory and greenhouse experiments to create efficient N‑P‑K blends.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and formulate new simple and complex fertilizer formulas based on triple superphosphate.
• Characterize produced fertilizers using spectroscopy, microscopy, porosity analysis, and other physicochemical techniques.
• Conduct laboratory and greenhouse evaluations to assess fertilizer effectiveness.
• Communicate progress and results to the research team.
• Prepare research reports, scientific publications, and patent applications.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
• Hands‑on experience with fertilizer manufacturing and formulation.
• Proven ability to design and characterize simple and complex fertilizers.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent written and oral communication in English and French.
• Record of peer‑reviewed publications.
