Private Equity Intern – Infrastructure Acceleration Fund

About the role

Join Africa50’s Infrastructure Acceleration Fund as a Private Equity Intern and gain hands‑on experience in African infrastructure investment. You will work closely with the Investment Team, learning the fundamentals of project finance and sharpening your financial modelling abilities in an entrepreneurial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct industry and company research to support investment decisions.
• Develop and maintain financial models and perform valuation analysis.
• Assist with transaction due diligence and documentation.
• Monitor portfolio companies and track performance metrics.
• Prepare presentation materials and investment memoranda for internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Undergraduate or graduate candidate fluent in English (French a plus).
• Relevant internship experience in M&A, investment banking, private equity, financial advisory, transaction services, or strategic consulting.
• Positive attitude, high integrity, strong work ethic, and willingness to work evenings, weekends, or travel as needed.
• Interest in Africa’s emerging markets and the fund’s mission, strategy, and values.
