Product Planning Specialist

About the role

CHANGAN Automobile is seeking a Product Planning Specialist to be based in Dubai and focus on the Morocco market. The role involves conducting market feasibility studies, defining product concepts, and managing product lifecycles to ensure successful launches in the target region.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market feasibility studies for new products and propose market, product, competitive, and user positioning.
• Define product concepts and configuration ranges, and contribute to market equations.
• Set development priorities and product definitions tailored to regional strategy, user needs, and competition.
• Monitor product definition objectives and refine key selling points.
• Manage product lifecycles according to planning, proposing action strategies based on market, competitive, and demand analysis.
• Travel occasionally for business trips as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Prior experience in product planning, preferably with overseas exposure.
• Passion for creating successful automotive products and researching innovative technologies.
• Strong market awareness, communication, teamwork, and dedication.
• Valid driver’s license with at least one year of practical driving experience.

Required skills

• Familiarity with basic automotive structure and principles.
• Understanding of product planning and development processes.
• Proficiency with common product planning tools and methodologies, and market/user research approaches.
