Project Economic Manager

About the role

ALTEN Morocco is looking for a Project Economic Manager to lead cost management activities for advanced, project‑based, or serial engineering programmes. You will ensure that each project meets its financial targets while balancing performance, quality, and schedule objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain the project cost commitment, consolidating all economic elements to achieve optimal cost/performance ratios.
• Structure cost‑management activities according to Job share, Pay share and RASI defined by project partners.
• Monitor design costs against targets and provide advanced economic reporting (TPC forecast, expense and investment status).
• Define component cost targets for Purchasing and ensure compliance with global targets.
• Develop and monitor risk and opportunity portfolios throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead cost‑convergence plans, negotiate transformation cost contracts with manufacturing, and manage Make‑and‑Buy investment contracts.
• Prepare yearly investment and expense budgets, produce monthly breakdowns, forecasts and variance analyses, and report to VEMO controlling.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (Bac +5) in Economics or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in project cost management or financial control.
• Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) concepts.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with PLM tools.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
