Project Economic Manager

About the role

ALTEN Morocco is looking for a Project Economic Manager to lead cost management activities across advanced, project and serial initiatives. You will ensure that each project meets its financial targets while balancing performance, quality, and schedule objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain the project cost commitment, consolidating all economic elements to achieve optimal cost/performance ratios.
• Structure cost‑management activities according to Job Share, Pay Share and RASI defined by project partners.
• Monitor design costs to guarantee that total project cost (TPC) aligns with investment, performance, quality, delay and R&D expense goals.
• Provide advanced economic reporting, including TPC forecasts, expense and investment status versus targets.
• Define component cost targets for purchasing in line with global GPSC objectives.
• Develop and track risk and opportunity portfolios throughout project and serial life cycles.
• Lead cost‑convergence plans, negotiate transformation cost contracts with manufacturing, and manage make‑and‑buy investment contracts.
• Oversee yearly investment and expense budgets, delivering monthly breakdowns, forecasts, expense landings and variance analyses to VEMO controlling.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (Bac +5) in Economics.
• 2‑5 years of experience in project cost management or related fields.
• Strong analytical mindset, rigor, creativity and curiosity.
• Team‑oriented attitude with a passion for service‑oriented professions.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
