Project Engineer (Lighting Activity)

About the role

Valeo is seeking a Project Engineer to lead lighting‑related projects within its industrial division. You will be responsible for guaranteeing that production objectives are met, validating capacities, and securing the resources needed for successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Validate production capacities, ensure quality standards and monitor non‑quality costs.
• Lead Project QRQC, manage milestones such as Run at Rate, FDPR and PPAP, and drive customer process validation.
• Oversee on‑time delivery, ramp‑up phases and local component acceptance.
• Lead and develop the project team, set objectives, conduct performance appraisals and manage the project budget.
• Report progress to steering committees (PSC/PMC) and propose scenarios to meet milestones.
• Participate in all design, process and quality reviews from the REQF milestone onward.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (Bac+5) in industrial management or a related field.
• More than 4 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years in project management.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Strong initiative, curiosity and ownership mindset.
