Purchasing Manager

About the role

Aptiv is seeking an experienced SCM Purchasing Manager to lead purchasing activities at its Tangier location. The role will coordinate closely with the EMEA central purchasing organization and manage both direct and indirect material procurement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate purchasing for direct materials, indirect materials, equipment and services at the Tangier plant.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, approval levels and SCM guidelines.
• Act as the primary interface between the local plant and EMEA central purchasing.
• Manage supplier relationships, quality, performance and development activities.
• Identify and drive material cost‑reduction and purchasing improvement initiatives.
• Monitor purchasing performance, including price evolution, savings and supplier KPIs.
• Develop annual procurement budgets and support local purchasing target definition.
• Utilise SAP, SAP Ariba, DMF and related tools effectively.
• Support purchasing audits and follow‑up on corrective actions.

Required profile

• University degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience managing budgets, KPIs and cost‑saving initiatives.
• Previous team leadership or people‑management experience.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
