Quality Coordinator

About the role

The Quality Coordinator ensures customer satisfaction and operational excellence by leading quality activities across manufacturing and customer interfaces at Lear's Tangier plant. Reporting to the Senior Quality Coordinator, the role drives continuous improvement, manages quality engineers, and guarantees compliance with automotive quality standards while reducing non‑quality costs.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a team of quality engineers.
• Establish direct contact with quality representatives at customer sites to resolve reported issues.
• Monitor internal and external quality issues, 8D reports, and action‑plan effectiveness.
• Improve customer scorecards and quality indicators such as WCs, RPPM, DPPM, and LMQM.
• Reduce the cost of non‑quality through internal and external containment measures.
• Control the effectiveness of quality activities, including process and product audits, equipment validation, operator qualification, and validation of engineering change implementations.
• Ensure continuous improvement and adherence to the Quality System.

Required profile

• Experience in coordinating quality activities within an automotive manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams to deliver products on time and at the required quality level.
• Strong problem‑solving orientation and focus on cost reduction.

Required skills

• 8D problem‑solving methodology.
• Quality metrics analysis (e.g., WCs, RPPM, DPPM, LMQM).
