RTP Accounting Associate

About the role

APM Terminals is seeking an Accounting Associate for its RTP location to join a multinational, Global 500 environment. The role offers exposure to a structured, transactional finance setting with clear processes and the chance to collaborate with internal and external partners worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices end‑to‑end, from receipt through validation to final posting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Verify and process employee expense claims, confirming documentation and eligibility within agreed timelines.
• Record, monitor, and reconcile bank transactions to produce accurate accounting entries.
• Manage communication with suppliers regarding invoice queries, payment status, statements of accounts, and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across departments to resolve transactional issues and support smooth operational workflows.
• Perform regular follow‑ups on pending approvals, transactions, and missing documentation to ensure timely completion.
• Support month‑end closing activities, reconciliations, and archiving of accounting records as required.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• 2–3 years of experience in accounting, accounts payable or transactional finance roles.
• Fluency in both English and French, written and spoken.
• Continuous‑improvement mindset with curiosity about work processes and motivation to drive sustainable improvements.
