Senior Actuary – Life & Health Reserving (North Asia) – Casablanca

About the role

SCOR is seeking a senior actuary to join its North Asia Life & Health Reserving team, based in the actuarial hub in Casablanca. The role focuses on delivering IFRS 17, Solvency II and local statutory results for the Korean and Japanese markets, while leading transformation initiatives and mentoring junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Review and produce IFRS 17, Solvency II and local statutory reserving results for North Asia.
• Analyse changes across reporting bases and set assumptions based on experience analysis.
• Lead actuarial audit processes and maintain high‑quality documentation and controls.
• Identify and implement opportunities to streamline and automate reporting tools and processes.
• Collaborate with technical accounting, pricing, IFM and global stakeholders in Singapore, Cologne, Paris and Dublin.

Required profile

• At least 10 years of experience in insurance or reinsurance reserving/actuarial modelling.
• Qualified or part‑qualified actuary, or a degree in actuarial science, mathematics, engineering or a related quantitative field.
• Strong understanding of Life & Health insurance and reserving practices.
• Proven experience leading projects, workstreams or teams in a global context.

Required skills

• Proficiency with actuarial modelling platforms – Prophet (preferred) or AXIS.
• Programming knowledge in Python or SQL (advantage).
• Advanced Microsoft Office suite skills.
