Senior Infrastructure Engineer – Networking

About the role

APM Terminals is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer – Networking to lead the design, implementation, and operation of IT and OT network infrastructure across its terminals, primarily in Spain and Morocco. You will act as the regional technical lead, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of Cisco and Siemens Scalance networks.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, optimise, and secure IT/OT network infrastructure across the region.
• Lead network‑related projects and day‑to‑day operations, including cyber‑security activities.
• Ensure high availability and performance of Cisco IT/OT networks and Siemens Scalance OT networks.
• Act as the right‑hand to the Service Delivery Manager and serve as the subject‑matter expert for the network domain.
• Lead a small team of network experts, standardising processes and driving global‑to‑local provisioning transitions.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and manage the full lifecycle of network equipment.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and third‑party partners.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in network engineering for both IT and OT environments.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and act as a regional subject‑matter expert.
• Strong understanding of network design, implementation, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation.
• Experience with cyber‑security practices in network contexts.
