Senior Manager, Financial Accounting

About the role

Save the Children International is seeking a Senior Manager, Financial Accounting to lead global financial accounting policies and statutory audit processes. The role ensures compliance with UK accounting standards, delivers accurate financial statements, and provides expert tax advice across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of global financial accounting policies in line with UK standards.
• Oversee statutory audit planning, execution, and remediation of findings.
• Prepare and review financial statements and regulatory reports.
• Provide expert advice on complex accounting and tax issues to senior leadership.
• Manage tax compliance, governance, and reporting for direct and indirect taxes.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors and the Global Financial Controller.
• Maintain audit fee budget of approximately $1 million.
• Manage a team of two accounting professionals.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in financial accounting and statutory audit within a global organization.
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax legislation.
• Proven ability to lead and develop small finance teams.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Right to work in the country of assignment.
