Senior Receptionist (Luxury Cruise Ship)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Receptionist to join our shipboard team at a 5‑star international luxury cruise line. You will be the face of the brand, delivering exceptional guest service and overseeing the daily operations of the reception desk.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality guest services at the reception desk and supervise its day‑to‑day operations.
• Coordinate guest requests, enquiries and complaints, ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolution.
• Maintain effective communication with the Guest Relations Manager and other ship departments.
• Facilitate smooth information flow between shore concierge, finance, and reception teams.
• Handle embarkation and debarkation duties as required.
• Conduct regular inventories of guest‑relations equipment.
• Prepare and submit the reception team schedule for manager approval.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in a front‑desk or receptionist role within a 5‑star or luxury hospitality environment.
• Fluent written and spoken English; conversational proficiency in at least two additional languages (e.g., German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin).
• Basic accounting knowledge.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a sincere, hospitality‑focused attitude.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience using Fidelio hotel management software.
