Senior Research Associate – Education Impact Evaluation

About the role

The Morocco Innovation and Evaluation Lab (MEL) is seeking a Senior Research Associate to coordinate and support an impact evaluation in the education sector, conducted in partnership with the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports. Based at the UM6P campus in Rabat, the role bridges research design, field implementation, and data analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Propose and implement methodological innovations in collaboration with Principal Investigators.
• Maintain and develop relationships with partner organizations, including government ministries and survey firms.
• Oversee field research activities and ensure adherence to the evaluation design.
• Supervise up to two Research Associates working on the project.
• Assist in hiring and managing survey firms, including drafting contracts and monitoring performance.
• Support data collection, management, and statistical analysis for the evaluation.

Required profile

• Experience coordinating large‑scale impact evaluations, preferably in education or related development fields.
• Proven ability to work with international research teams and local partners.
• Strong supervisory skills for managing junior research staff.
• Ability to communicate findings and methodological decisions clearly to diverse stakeholders.
