Senior Research Associate – Education (Morocco Innovation & Evaluation Lab)

About the role

The Morocco Innovation and Evaluation Lab (MEL) seeks a Senior Research Associate to coordinate research activities that promote evidence‑based policymaking in the education sector. Based at the UM6P campus in Rabat, you will work with an international team of leading scholars and local partners.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and supervise impact evaluations, including a qualitative pilot for a future randomized controlled trial.
• Coordinate data collection, management and analysis in line with research designs.
• Maintain and expand relationships with partner organisations across public, private, NGO and philanthropic sectors.
• Propose and apply methodological innovations in collaboration with principal investigators.
• Lead field research activities and ensure compliance with project timelines and quality standards.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (PhD or Master) in economics, education, public policy or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience managing impact evaluation projects, preferably in low‑ or middle‑income contexts.
• Strong track record of working with international research teams.
• Excellent communication skills in English; French or Arabic is a plus.
