Simulation Engineer

About the role

TE Connectivity is looking for a Simulation Engineer who executes standard simulations to support design and manufacturing. The role covers structural-mechanical and injection molding simulations, coupled simulations of plastic components, and the development and calibration of simulation methods.

Key responsibilities

• Execute structural-mechanical simulations in Ansys/LS-Dyna and injection molding simulations for plastic components with Moldflow/Moldex
• Perform coupled simulations of plastic components in Ansys/LS-Dyna using Digimat, and further develop these simulation methods
• Parameterize anisotropic material laws for short fiber reinforced plastics
• Adjust and calibrate models based on FEM and measurement results

Required profile

• Master's degree in plastics technology, mechanical engineering or a comparable engineering field
• 2+ years of experience in simulation
• Knowledge of material resistance

Required skills

• Ansys, LS-Dyna, Moldflow, Moldex, Digimat
• CAD (Creo preferred); experience with design automation programs is a plus
• ISO GPS / ASME GD&T, DOE, FEA, Microsoft Office applications
