Subsystem Design Engineer – Supervision

About the role

The Subsystem Design Engineer will lead the definition and implementation of functional requirements for the Supervision perimeter of vehicle features. You will work on critical functions such as vehicle start requests, user authentication, theft protection, OTA update arbitration, and energy management.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and analyse all functional needs impacting the Supervision subsystem.
• Define specifications and allocate logical functions to ECUs in collaboration with Control Architects.
• Write detailed requirement documents and manage stakeholder reviews.
• Partner with validation teams to create test plans and support issue analysis.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Automotive Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in automotive system or subsystem design.
• Strong understanding of vehicle E/E architectures, networks and messaging systems.
• Fluent in English; additional European language is a plus.

Required skills

• CAN, LIN, Ethernet communication protocols.
• CATIA V6 and ENOVIA PLM tools.
• CANalyzer for network analysis.
• Knowledge of electric & electronic architecture and vehicle configuration modes.
