Systems and Infrastructure Administrator (Onsite, Casablanca)

About the role

ZenithBlox is looking for a Systems and Infrastructure Administrator to own the availability, capacity, security, and lifecycle of its local technical environment in Casablanca. This onsite position combines hands‑on management of physical servers, storage, networking, and Linux‑based virtualization platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain physical servers, racks, cabling, firmware, storage devices, network equipment, power, UPS, and cooling systems.
• Administer Linux hosts, virtual machines and KVM‑based virtualization (Proxmox VE), assess current virtualization setup and propose safe changes.
• Manage storage architecture (RAID, ZFS, LVM), monitor disk health, performance and plan capacity expansions.
• Handle local networking including switches, VLANs, routing, firewalls, VPN access, DNS, DHCP, TLS certificates and reverse‑proxy services.
• Establish monitoring and alerting for hardware, OS, storage, network services, VMs and backup jobs.
• Design and operate encrypted backup and recovery procedures, define recovery targets and conduct restoration tests.
• Plan infrastructure changes with inventories, backups, rollback procedures, maintenance windows and acceptance criteria.
• Apply security hardening, patching, least‑privilege access, asset controls, audit logging and periodic access reviews in coordination with the security team.
• Maintain up‑to‑date diagrams, inventories, runbooks, maintenance records and incident reports.
• Support internal engineering services (source control, CI, artifact repository, secrets management, GPU workloads, reverse proxies) and coordinate with DevOps teams.
• Collaborate with cloud‑hosted environments to evaluate workload placement, capacity and cost without compromising reliability.
• Manage relationships with equipment vendors, warranty providers and specialist service partners.

Required profile

• Proven experience operating physical servers, storage systems and networking equipment onsite.
• Strong background in Linux system administration and KVM‑based virtualization.
• Ability to design, document and execute backup, recovery and change‑management processes.
• Attention to security best practices and experience working with security teams.
• Excellent documentation skills to ensure knowledge transfer and incident recovery.
