Validation Engineer – Software & Hardware Test Automation

About the role

As a Validation Engineer you will build the "machine that tests the machine," working at the intersection of hardware, software, and DevOps. You will create hardware benches and software pipelines that enable the validation team to scale testing from a single drone to hundreds efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Develop Python scripts and tools to automate log analysis, telemetry parsing, and report generation.
• Integrate physical hardware tests into the CI/CD pipeline using DevOps tools.
• Design and build Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop (HIL) test benches that simulate flight conditions in the lab.
• Optionally design mechanical fixtures and jigs with CAD to support repeatable physical testing.

Required profile

• Background in Software Engineering, Embedded Systems, or Mechatronics.
• Strong proficiency in Python; C++ knowledge is a plus.
• Experience building test benches, HIL systems, or automated test equipment.
• Familiarity with Docker, Jenkins, Git, and Linux environments.
• Bonus: experience with robotics or drones and mechanical design using CAD.
