About the role
We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to support the Director of Procurement and Infrastructure Development. The role will ensure smooth workflow management, coordinate purchasing activities and provide comprehensive clerical support across the university’s departments.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prioritize, organize and manage the secretarial and clerical functions of the office.
- Coordinate information flow between the university’s departments and services, ensuring timely follow‑up.
- Draft, type and format various correspondence such as letters, memoranda and faxes.
- Control action on all incoming and outgoing office communications.
- Maintain the Director’s calendar and schedule appointments.
- Establish and maintain the office filing system, including archiving of retired records.
- Prepare and submit tax‑exemption documentation to tax services.
- Receive, record and dispatch purchase requests to purchasers.
- Perform purchaser duties when required.
- Assist in launching and developing projects.
- Process and follow up the office’s budget.
- Undertake other tasks and duties as assigned.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree (economics or business administration preferred).
- Previous experience in a related administrative or procurement role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English, French and Arabic.
- Strong ability to prioritize work, take initiative and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Team spirit, accountability, adaptability and a positive attitude.
