AH-64 Pilot Instructor – Simulator & Ground School Trainer

About the role

The AH-64 Pilot Instructor will lead simulator and ground‑school training for Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) aircrew. This role combines academic instruction with hands‑on simulator operations to ensure pilots and flight instructors achieve and maintain proficiency on the AH‑64 platform.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct and lead AH‑64 simulator and ground‑school sessions for various training scenarios.
• Design, develop, and update training materials to satisfy company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
• Train and evaluate aircrew in accordance with the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Aircrew Training Manual.
• Create and maintain training scenarios, ensuring compliance with skill, knowledge, and authorization standards across multiple product platforms.
• Provide instruction to customer pilots and simulator flight instructors, mentoring trainees as needed.
• Develop aircrew competence evaluation criteria and conduct after‑action reviews (AARs).
• Complete required reports and records to support third‑party evaluation and audit processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• AH‑64E V6 qualified Instructor.
• Valid U.S. passport and ability to meet visa requirements.
• Preferably 10+ years of AH‑64 or related experience, including formal training unit background.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Link 16 communications.
• Knowledge of Common Missile Warning System (CMWS).
• Experience with Hellfire missile operations.
• Familiarity with M‑TADS and Fire Control Radar (FCR) systems.
• Understanding of Manned‑Unmanned Teaming (MUM‑T) concepts.
