APU Quality Engineer

About the role

The APU Quality Engineer is responsible for driving quality initiatives within the APU production environment. This role ensures that all processes comply with established standards, supports issue containment, and represents the customer on quality matters.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate QRQC actions in the QIM database and validate containment robustness.
• Support APU and Site Managers in analyzing QRQC‑assigned issues.
• Maintain APU quality tracking charts, including Customer Returns and Cost of Non‑Quality.
• Conduct line audits to detect non‑conformities and define corrective actions.
• Participate in eradication of customer and non‑quality issues.
• Enforce QRQC meeting rules such as “Stop at first disagree” and “Stop at first no”.
• Revise control plans after issues and verify 4M matrix compliance for product or process changes.
• Update quality documents following process changes and ensure continuous conformance to specifications.
• Authority to stop manufacturing or assembly lines when standards, safety, or quality risks are identified.
• Represent the customer (Valeo) on quality communications and escalations.
• Manage PD, CA, and closure for internal supplier incidents.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to lead containment and root‑cause activities.
• Experience in quality tracking, audit execution, and control‑plan management.
• Capability to enforce standards and make line‑stop decisions when necessary.
• Effective communication skills to interact with managers, customers, and internal teams.
