Backend Engineer (Remote)

About the role

Naoris Consulting is seeking a full‑time remote Backend Engineer to help build the next generation of infrastructure and cybersecurity products. You will design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and integrations that power secure, scalable, and high‑performance systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services and RESTful APIs.
• Build integrations across distributed systems and third‑party platforms.
• Develop scalable, secure backend architectures for large‑scale products.
• Optimize performance, reliability, and availability of production services.
• Collaborate with AI, cybersecurity, DevOps, and infrastructure teams.
• Troubleshoot, monitor, and improve production systems.
• Contribute to platform scalability and infrastructure enhancements.

Required profile

• Solid experience in backend development.
• Strong understanding of API design and system integrations.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Rust.
• Experience delivering backend projects or maintaining production systems.
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Proactive mindset with strong ownership and the ability to work autonomously.
• Familiarity with distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, or DevOps is a plus.
• Knowledge of security‑focused backend development, AI integrations, Docker, Kubernetes, microservices, or cloud‑native architectures is advantageous.
