Consultant PL/SQL Senior F/H

About the role

We are looking for a Senior PL/SQL Consultant to design, develop, and optimise database objects and processes. The role involves translating functional needs into technical specifications, ensuring high‑performance Oracle solutions, and supporting production environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise stored procedures, functions, triggers and PL/SQL packages.
• Analyse functional requirements and produce detailed technical specifications.
• Perform SQL query tuning, indexing and execution‑plan optimisation for batch and online processing.
• Participate in data‑modeling activities (conceptual and logical models) and database evolution.
• Maintain and enhance existing applications, write technical documentation and conduct unit/integration testing.
• Support production incidents at level 2/3 and assist in release and deployment activities.
• Collaborate with functional teams, DBAs and project managers, contributing to architecture decisions and best‑practice guidelines.

Required profile

• Master’s level education in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on PL/SQL development in a production environment.
• Strong analytical mindset, autonomy and ability to mentor junior staff.
• Excellent communication skills, especially with functional teams.
• Ability to work under pressure and propose continuous‑improvement ideas.

Required skills

• Advanced PL/SQL (procedures, functions, packages, triggers, cursors, exceptions).
• Deep knowledge of Oracle (10g, 11g, 12c, 19c) and tools such as SQL Developer and Toad.
• SQL performance optimisation (EXPLAIN PLAN, hints, indexing).
• Relational data‑modeling (MCD/MLD).
• ETL tools experience (ODI, Talend or equivalents).
• Version control with Git or similar.
• Agile/Scrum methodology familiarity.
• Additional experience with Java/J2EE or .NET, Linux/Unix shell scripting, PostgreSQL, and job‑scheduling tools (Control‑M, AutoSys) is a plus.
