General Service Engineer – Facility Maintenance

About the role

STMicroelectronics is looking for a General Service Engineer to ensure the safe, clean and efficient operation of its building facilities. The role involves daily inspections, preventive and corrective maintenance of sanitary systems, flooring and general services, supporting both employees and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections of common areas (offices, corridors, toilets, canteen, technical rooms, parking) and report any damage or safety risks.
• Coordinate office moves, layout changes, and set‑up of meeting, training and event spaces.
• Carry out routine checks and minor repairs on plumbing and hygiene installations, monitor supplies and liaise with cleaning services.
• Inspect and maintain flooring types (tiles, vinyl, epoxy, carpet), execute minor repairs and arrange deep‑cleaning or polishing with external providers.
• Execute preventive maintenance plans and respond to corrective maintenance requests promptly.
• Manage contractors, conduct risk assessments, monitor action plans and ensure scope of work is followed.

Required profile

• Experience in building or facility maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Good organisational skills for handling logistics and contractor management.
