Materials Compliance Engineer

About the role

ALTEN Maroc is seeking a Materials Compliance Engineer to ensure that automotive components meet EU regulatory requirements. You will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to assess materials, manage data, and drive compliance initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and apply EU regulations such as REACH, ELV and SCIP to materials and parts.
• Conduct chemical and material assessments, identifying and proposing alternatives for regulated substances.
• Collect, analyze and validate IMDS/MSDS data for compliance reporting.
• Coordinate supplier surveys and evaluate their chemical management processes.
• Develop and execute action plans to eliminate non‑compliant substances and improve processes.
• Maintain accurate regulatory documentation, design updates and quality assurance records.

Required profile

• 1‑5 years of experience in product compliance, regulatory affairs or material assessment within automotive, aerospace or manufacturing.
• Proficiency in both French and English.
• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Automotive or Aerospace Engineering.
• Good knowledge of EU REACH regulation.
