Production Manager – Manufacturing Operations

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead and optimise our manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality output while meeting cost, productivity, delivery and safety targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all operational and strategic production activities.
• Ensure achievement of production targets related to quality, cost, productivity, delivery performance and safety.
• Coach, develop and support Group Leaders and their teams.
• Plan and manage production capacity in line with customer requirements and plant objectives.
• Monitor, analyse and continuously improve key production KPIs.
• Optimise utilisation of manpower, equipment and resources.
• Manage the production budget, identify cost‑reduction opportunities and drive operational efficiency.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Lead productivity, investment, industrialisation and process‑optimisation projects.
• Collaborate with Logistics, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, HR and Finance to achieve operational excellence.
• Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, health, safety and company standards.
• Support new product launches, ramp‑ups and organisational changes.
• Foster a high‑performance culture focused on accountability, teamwork and employee engagement.
• Prepare regular production performance reports and manage escalations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Production or Manufacturing Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in an automotive manufacturing or production environment.
• At least 5 years of leadership experience in a comparable production management role.
• Proven track record managing large production organisations and leading supervisors/group leaders.
• Experience in automotive wire‑harness or electrical distribution systems manufacturing is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, production systems and Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Solid experience in capacity planning, budgeting and cost management.
• Understanding of quality management systems and automotive standards.
• Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.
• Experience leading change‑management, transformation and organisational development projects.
