Plant Manager – 4 weeks on/4 weeks off (15‑month contract)

About the role

We are seeking a Plant Manager to lead the safe, reliable and efficient operation of a major process plant in Morocco. The role covers the transition from commissioning and start‑up through to sustainable production, on a 4‑weeks‑on / 4‑weeks‑off schedule for a 15‑month contract.

Key responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for plant safety, reliability and efficiency.
• Set HSE and process‑safety standards and foster a strong safety culture.
• Lead the operational transition from commissioning to first start‑up, ramp‑up and normal production.
• Build and manage a high‑performing plant organisation, develop local talent and succession plans.
• Manage EPC contractors, vendors and specialist interfaces.
• Ensure operational readiness of people, procedures, spares, tools, systems and competencies.
• Own the operating budget, control expenditure and provide accurate forecasts.
• Establish an Operational Excellence programme and drive root‑cause improvements.

Required profile

• Senior plant or operations management experience in oil & gas, gas processing or petrochemicals.
• Proven leadership in commissioning, start‑up and ramp‑up phases.
• Strong HSE and process‑safety leadership.
• Experience in budget control and contractor management.
• Track record of building and developing operating teams, preferably in greenfield or new‑plant environments.
