Project and Financial Assistant

About the role

The Project and Financial Assistant will support UN Women’s resilience and food‑security initiative for rural women in Tata, Morocco. This position combines project coordination with financial administration to ensure smooth implementation of disaster‑risk reduction, water‑management and climate‑adaptation activities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, implementing, monitoring and reporting on project activities.
• Provide administrative support for work plans, budgets, proposals and implementation processes.
• Track expenditures, monitor budgets, conduct financial analysis and prepare reports.
• Manage project records, budget revisions, awards, invoices, requisitions and receipts using the Quantum system.
• Coordinate logistics and financial arrangements for meetings, workshops, trainings and events.
• Prepare meeting minutes, maintain documentation and follow‑up on actions.
• Contribute to donor and internal reporting and support project closure.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in international development, economics, finance or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in development programmes, project administration or financial management.
• Experience with human‑rights, gender‑equality or resilience projects is desirable.
• Fluency in French and English; Arabic knowledge is an asset.

Required skills

• Strong financial management, budgeting and reporting abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Experience using digital financial management systems, specifically Quantum.
