Sales & Event Manager

About the role

The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for contracting and closing local catering and social business, ensuring timely turnover for quality service delivery. The role drives revenue by actively up‑selling each opportunity and implementing the brand’s service strategy throughout the sales process.

Key responsibilities

• Manage sales efforts for corporate and social catering, coordinating with off‑property sales channels.
• Respond to incoming catering inquiries, qualify prospects, and generate new business.
• Negotiate contracts and close opportunities based on market conditions and hotel needs.
• Design and sell creative catered events, up‑sell packages, and develop revenue‑driving menus.
• Prepare proposals, write contracts, and handle customer correspondence.
• Manage catering sales revenue, budgets, and forecasting reports.
• Collaborate with kitchen, vendors, and hotel departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Monitor and resolve guest issues arising from the sales process.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of experience in sales, marketing, guest services, front desk, or related fields.
• Or a 2‑year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel & Restaurant Management, or a related discipline (no experience required).
• Strong communication, negotiation, and market‑analysis abilities.
