Senior Accountant – Lead NetSuite Implementation

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to lead a 9‑12 month NetSuite implementation for a fast‑growing manufacturing client in Charlestown, MA. This hands‑on position will directly influence financial health, cost efficiency, and operational scalability.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute the NetSuite implementation, overseeing configuration, integration, and go‑live readiness.
• Drive time and expense planning, policy alignment, and workflow optimization.
• Manage company‑wide travel and expense programs and support vendor procurement and payment processes.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, ensuring accurate cost reporting.
• Partner with senior finance leaders to scale accounting operations and best practices.
• Develop and enhance cost accounting processes, inventory valuation, and production overhead allocation.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through audits, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Own data mapping and reconciliation across inventory and revenue systems, resolving discrepancies proactively.
• Participate in system testing (UAT) and pre‑launch validation, providing actionable financial insights.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years of GAAP accounting experience in manufacturing, inventory, or production environments.
• 3+ years of recent NetSuite implementation experience, including decision‑making and process design.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP implementations or system migrations.
• Proven ability to lead end‑to‑end ERP projects and coordinate cross‑functional teams.
• Expertise in inventory accounting, revenue/billing processes, and data reconciliation.
