Senior Data Engineer

About the role

Yakeey, a fast‑growing PropTech company, is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to ensure the stability and performance of its data platform. You will work with AWS services, build ELT pipelines, model data, and orchestrate workflows to deliver reliable insights for product and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and optimise the data stack (PostgreSQL RDS, Redshift, S3) for high availability, performance and cost efficiency.
• Design, develop and manage ELT pipelines using Airbyte to ingest data from multiple sources.
• Model and transform data with dbt, delivering clean datasets and actionable KPIs.
• Orchestrate data workflows with Prefect, automating ingestion, transformation and quality checks.
• Collaborate with product, operations and analytics teams to define metrics and build data products.
• Implement data‑governance practices, including monitoring, testing and documentation.
• Proactively monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues and improve scalability.
• Stay up‑to‑date with emerging data‑engineering tools and AI technologies such as MCP‑based agents and RAG architectures.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of hands‑on data‑engineering experience.
• Strong background in SQL, data warehousing and cloud platforms.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across cross‑functional teams.
• Curiosity for next‑generation AI tools and willingness to experiment.
