Senior Director, AI, Digital and Data

About the role

The Senior Director, AI, Digital and Data is the movement's senior voice and trusted advisor on AI, digital technology and data. Reporting to the Chief Transformation Officer, the role shapes strategy, influences senior leaders and embeds AI, digital and data solutions across the global organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the global AI portfolio, accelerating existing scaled products and defining new AI applications that drive impact for children.
• Steer digital programming and ICT4D initiatives, from cash and voucher delivery to digitising health records and remote learning solutions.
• Oversee the data insights programme, promoting data‑driven decision‑making at global, regional and field levels.
• Drive the shift toward a results‑based operating model using integrated performance‑management capabilities.
• Manage a budget of approximately $2 million and a team of about 15 staff across multiple functions.
• Engage external partners—including INGOs, technology companies and foundations—to leverage resources and foster sector‑wide change.
• Travel up to 10% internationally to support global initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in AI, digital transformation and data analytics within large, complex organisations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of humanitarian or development contexts is preferred.
• Fluent English and the right to work in the country of assignment.
