Software Engineer (AS400) – Freelance

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned Software Engineer specialized in AS400 to join our team on a freelance basis. The role is based in Rabat and requires close collaboration with our IT services department to maintain and enhance legacy applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications on the AS400 (IBM i) platform.
• Analyse business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Perform code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning of existing modules.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for production incidents.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate AS400 solutions with modern technologies.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer working with AS400.
• Fluent in English and French.
• Ability to work independently on a freelance contract.
• Based in or willing to work from Rabat.

Required skills

• AS400 (IBM iSeries) development.
