Software Test & Validation Engineer – HIL & Vehicle

About the role

MICLA Engineering & Design is looking for a Software Test & Validation Engineer to join its automotive software practice in Morocco. You will work on in‑vehicle Android applications for infotainment and instrument clusters, as well as on hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL) validation of vehicle systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Android Automotive applications for infotainment and instrument cluster displays.
• Implement user‑facing features such as media playback, vehicle settings, connected services and system UI components.
• Integrate vehicle data and platform services using automotive APIs, CAN, CAN‑FD, LIN and Ethernet networks.
• Support smartphone projection and voice/assistant interactions in collaboration with UX designers.
• Write testable code and contribute to automated test coverage within CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform HIL testing using dSPACE benches, Vector tools (CANoe, CANalyzer, CANape) and CAPL scripting.
• Execute diagnostics (UDS, DTC handling, DLT logging) and ensure compliance with ISO 26262 functional safety standards.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• Solid understanding of automotive E/E architecture and vehicle networks (CAN, CAN‑FD, LIN, Automotive Ethernet).
• Hands‑on experience with at least one Vector tool (CANoe, CANalyzer or CANape).
• Proficiency in Python scripting and structured analytical approach to defect analysis.
• Professional English communication skills.
• Willingness to work onsite at test facilities and travel internationally.
